Kumbh at Hans Raj
The morning of 24th March witnessed a lot of motion at Hans Raj College, where Haritima- the environment awareness society, organized Prakriti Kumbh’15, the annual fest in association with Millennium India Education Foundation in the Seminar Room of the college. The event was a huge success with a lot of things to watch, do and buy. There were stalls set up by so many organizations that it seemed a day wasn’t just enough to finish them all! A few to mention included set-ups by Kriti- a development research, praxis & communication team which had a huge variety of handmade goodies to offer, like jewellery, key rings, diaries, and water bottle holders. Then there was the Posh Foundation with its Adopt a Pet initiative hosted by its zealous volunteers, attracting people with Print a Paw where you could write your messages for everyone to read in favour of saving animals. Just next to it was the Rangoli making competition going on with great enthusiasm amongst the participants. There were also many more events which were scheduled for the following days such as a debate, a poster making competition, a pencil sketch making competition, Treasure Hunt, along with Add a Leaf- the slogan writing competition. A best out of waste and a caption writing competition was also held. The main attraction of the whole festival was the plays organized by The Film and Theatre Society of the college along with NSS and WDC which showcased the audience beautiful pieces of art like Wo Lahore, Chakravyuh, Couple Trouble. The festival was full of life and energy and totally made the day worth it.
